6th Lemesos International Documentary Festival 3-10 August 2011

CCMC is proud to announce it is partnering with the prestigious 6th Lemesos International Documentary Festival this year, taking place between 3-10 August 2011. There is an excellent selection of documentaries this year to choose from, including Lucy Walker’s ‘Waste Land’, Banksy’s ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’, Anna Tsiarta’s ‘In This Waiting’ and more. All films will be screened in their original language with English and Greek subtitles and entrance is free. Also, don’t miss the selection of masterclasses and seminars, and the opportunity to apply for a one-on-one meeting with acclaimed director, festival programmer and lecturer Rada Sesic. 7th Children & Youth Film Festival 20-26 Feb 2011

CCMC member the International Children’s Film Festival of Cyprus (ICFFCY) presents the 7th edition of its Children & Youth Film Festival which this year will take place from the 20-26 February. ICFFCY is a non-profit association that has been focusing on cinema and its role in the lives of children and young people. The Festival combines films and education in a program for children, teachers and parents.  It aims to provide the audience with the opportunity to view and discuss a wide variety of films.  The selection of films is made based on their educational merit and each year international recent releases are brought to Cyprus. The Festival is divided into 4 different parts: Morning Screenings, Morning Workshops, Marathon Evening and Bicommunal Day. Visit their website at www.icffcy.org to find more information about each event, as well as a complete list of films that will be screened and their synopsis.
