Launch of Participatory Development Project 13 April

You are cordially invited to the Launch Event of the Participatory Development Project on 13 April 2011 at 12:30-13:30 at the Chateau Status restaurant in Nicosia.  
The Participatory Development Project aims to promote reconciliation on the island with a focus on enhancing cultural and natural heritage projects through participatory approaches. The project will achieve this by helping existing partners and other interested parties to extract lessons from already established participatory development models, followed by a dialogue on similar models inside and outside of Cyprus, leading to the development and delivery of a Best Practices Guide for practitioners on the island and in the region. The project will be launched by the Presidents of ETEK and KTMMOB.

Launch of KISA Minority Rights report 13 April 2011

CCMC member KISA is inviting participation in an event on Wednesday 13 April 2011 at 18:00, which is taking place at CCMC’s ‘Community Space’. Participation is requested from NGOs, migrant communities and associations, groups, individual activists and civil society in general. The meeting will include the presentation and discussion around a new report entitled ‘Minority Rights: Solutions to the Cyprus problem’, based on research conducted under a European-funded project that KISA is implementing with MRG (Minority Rights Group International). For more details please see the attached invitation.

Discussion on Media Collaboration in Cyprus: 15 April 2011

The Working Group of the Collaborative Media Initiative (CMI), in partnership with the Cyprus Turkish Association of Journalists, invites you to an open panel discussion on Friday 15 April 2011 at 20:00, entitled ‘Challenges and Prospects for Media Collaboration in Cyprus’. This event represents the first open consultation with a wider group of stakeholders in the field on how they view collaboration in the media at present, and seeks their perspective on ways to improve collaboration in the future. The meeting will include a presentation of key findings from the media landscape Mapping Exercise, based on research conducted under the CMI project.
